Much has been made about the current state of our economy. As a result of negative media reports fueled by presidential politics and the chase for 24 hour news network ratings, many Americans are feeling anxious about the prospect of purchasing a new vehicle due to what they feel is a challenging credit lending environment where credit is not being extended to even the most worthy individuals. While that might be the case in some places, I want to take this opportunity to give you some facts about what is happening at our stores. In the month of September, customers with varying levels of credit worthiness that applied for a loan in conjunction with the purchase of a new or pre-owned vehicle were collectively approved 90% of the time through the various banks and credit sources we partner with. Based on media reports, some might think this simply cannot be true, but it is fact.
